Robert Newton was recognized as a Service Hero for displaying the value of EXCELLENCE.
Robert, who works on the Sodexo team at the Infirmary, was nominated by a patient’s wife who stopped by the cafeteria while her husband was in surgery.
Robert was cleaning in the cafeteria and greeted the woman. After walking around for a few minutes trying to find hot chocolate, Robert approached her to see if he could help her find was she needed.
“He not only took me to the hot chocolate, he made sure I was able to get hot water and creamer. After I had my hot chocolate, he told me if I needed anything else to please ask and anyone would be happy to help me. I noticed him stop and greet everyone and make sure everything stayed clean and tidy.”
