St. Vincent “Partner in Comfort” With Goodness Village to Help Patients and Families with Housing
CHI St. Vincent was a proud “Partner in Comfort” for the 2024 Inaugural Day of Goodness benefiting Goodness Village.
Goodness Village maintains 20 fully furnished apartment homes and plans on adding more soon to serve more families in need. Over the years, they have provided deeply discounted short-term housing to hundreds of families from Arkansas and abroad.
“Goodness Village provides a true home where families can focus on relaxing and recovering – that’s true goodness,” said Mandy Davis, Director of Community Outreach.
It was brought to Mission’s attention that there was a search for free or reduced lodging for low-income patients and their families. These patients and their families were often sleeping in hospital waiting rooms, had no place to shower, little to eat and no money for a hotel.
“Now, I work closely with staff to connect patients and families in need with local lodging resources including Goodness Village. Collaborating with community organizations like Goodness Village to provide excellent service, especially for the most vulnerable, is exactly what we are called to do. It’s an honor to help facilitate this much needed service and deepen this community relationship on behalf of those most in need,” said Davis.
